In 1965, Paul Harvey’s warning was broadcast: Today, it’s sadly come true

From the 1950s through the 1990s, Paul Harvey was one of the most popular radio personalities in the United States, reaching an astounding 25 million people per week.

Back in 1965, he had a chilling warning for the U.S. that has just come true 53 years later.

“If I were the Devil… and then continues discussing issues that are these days ours to face,” Harvey said as he began his prophecy.

“If I were the devil, I would whisper that the Bible was a myth. I would convince them that man created God, instead of the other way around.”

“I would soon have families at war with themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves,” he continued.

“I would make the symbol of Easter an egg, and the symbol of Christmas a bottle. I would convince the young that marriage is old-fashioned and that swinging is more fun, and what you see on TV is the way to be…”

This is just a small part of Harvey’s speech, but you can already see just how true it has become today!

These days, there are fewer marriages among young people than ever before, with many ditching the practice altogether.

Many are turning away from Christ, and our nation is more divided politically than ever before.

Back in 1965, people could not imagine that what Harvey said would come true as literally as it has.

It’s sad that our country has gotten to this point, and we can only hope that we are somehow able to turn things around to get back to where we were decades ago.
